Green Beans

Green Beans with Bacon

2 pounds green beans, trimmed
1/2 lb bacon, chopped, fried, drained or bacon bits
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
salt, pepper to taste

Cook beans in large pot boiling salted water a few minutes, til bright green. Drain and put into bowl of ice water. Drain, pat dry.
Saute onion with bacon, add minced garlic and saute.
Add beans, toss and cook 5-8 minutes.
